Aberfoyle Mill Restaurant - Guelph

The Aberfoyle Mill is an excellent choice for both food and ambiance. Although we ordered from the menu a prix fixe menu is also available. The ambiance and the service is excellent. My husband enjoyed a wonderful Rainbow trout freshly cooked and seasoned. The broccoli soup was superb as was the white chocolate cheesecake, large portion you might want to share as we did, for dessert. I had a tasty curry. The service was impeccable . The price was certainly good . The prime rib is the specialty of the house. A great place to go for a special celebration or even a business lunch. A fireplace, in winter, adds to the ambiance. You will not leave hungry.

Great place and have been there many time for meals. That night was really busy and service was a bit slow.

If you like consistency, this is the place. I don't think there had been any major menu change in years. They do have a couple of daily specials for variety. The quality of the food is very good every time we go. We had the prime rib and both enjoyed it. It came hot and was well presented on the plate. My big complaint was the long wait after the main course was finished. We sat for a long time before anybody even thought to ask if we wanted a desert or anything else. It also took a very long time to get the bill. This happens every time we go so I assume it's their thing. The food is good the service in general is good if you don't mind waiting. I will go back but will be more proactive about the inattention between courses and paying

We enjoyed the murder mystery show and the excellent meal that was served during the show. The crowd participated and everyone got involved. As the plot thickens everyone wonders what will happen. Then ...

We have been to this restaurant several times in the past and always have had a wonderful meal. Tonight was no exception, my husband and I each ordered the prix fixe menu- he had the fish and I had the short ribs. Both were excellent and the prices remain very reasonable. We will be back!
