Trattoria La Salinera - Grinzane cavour

This was the place that our truffle hunter suggested that we have lunch. The food was very good with great service. We had raw veal with black truffles it was delicious..... Then we had our white truffles pasta and egg YUMMY!!! This is a great place with great food, service and prices.

I was in Grinzane last weekend, during a bad weather day so, after the castle visit I decided to top myself for eating something. I entered into this restaurant just for a sandwiches but after I read the manu I changed my idea. Battuta di fassona with green cream....delicious!!! Rosted pepperons with cheese&hazelnut cream , good. for the fisrt time I tasted a Bonnet, tipical Pindemont dessert....why I didn't eat it before??? Really good. Nice staff, location not so warm but nice as well.

Good value, family run, place right by the castle. There is a no frills dining room upstairs or you can eat at one of the tables in the bar on the ground floor. I had a good Milanese veal escalope with spinach and asparagus for €7 and on another occasion I had the set lunch for €12 which buys you of a choice of antipasti, one of the two dishes of the day, water and coffee. All pretty tasty without being anything to write home about. Good, well priced, wine list with a few available by the glass from €3 upwards.

La trattoria la salinera a due passi dal castello di grinzane cavour offre sia un tavolo freddo che una trattoria con un buon rapporto tra qualità e prezzo si possono ottenere ottimi esempi di cucina piemontese e degustare i vini della langhe, tra le specialità consigliate plin al burro e salvia o a ragù.

Posto incantevole, cucina eccellente, servizio cordiale e amichevole. anche cucina senza glutine con personale preparato e non improvvisato.
