Cento - Greshamville

We made reservations in advance for our 25th anniversary. However, the first hostess didn't honor our request for a booth. The next hostess, older, told us that she would give us a different table and had to eat and leave in one hour, because this table was already reserved. The hypocrisy!. For the amount we spent on food, I expected it to be better. Mine was extremely salty and my husband's duck was very well done. As a chef, I know that you shouldn't cook duck well/overdone. The only reason I'm giving it 2 stars is because our Waitress was so helpful in answering questions and provided excellent service. At the end of our hour, the older hostess came over and grabbed our dishes and wisked away with food still on my plate. Never asked if I wanted the rest if it. Then dropped off the check and walked away again. If I wanted RUDE service, I'd go elsewhere. NOT RETURNING!

Great food and atmosphere. Our server, Sophie, was super knowledgeable about the wines, and had helpful suggestions for pairing them with entrées. A favorite in downtown Madison!

Amazing bacon wrapped dates and scallops! The go to place for good and reasonably priced Italian food.

I just had my rehearsal dinner here. It was elegant and delicious, and the staff was caring and sensitive to all our food restrictions (which was a lot). Absolutely recommend. Some of the most delicious food we have ever had, especially the gnocci! Dietary restrictions: Extremely accommodating
