Bidrage med feedbackItsuki has great sushi and presentation of sushi compared to nearby sushi places. I had the tempura and sashimi bento (see picture below), which I have to say is was very unique in the fact that it had many components, but not a lot of each component. Their sashimi was fresh and tasty! Their sushi rolls are presented very well and taste great as well. My only criticism in this review is that it does cost a pretty penny, but overall the food was great!
I saw Itsuki on the Axxess Card and thought we'd try it. I'm so glad we stopped by! We really enjoyed our lunch and the service was pretty outstanding considering the lunchtime crowd. We did not feel rushed and didn't have to wait very long to receive our order. We ordered from the lunch special menu which featured typical bento box type lunches, but the quality was amazing! The menu is very reasonably price and had lots of interesting options.
Flavorful. Fresh. Delicious. Courteous and friendly staff. Prompt service. We've been here a dozen times now and each time, we are pleasantly surprised with this place. Prompt service as soon as you walk in. I ordered appetizers and main course dishes, everything came out together at the same time, within 10 minutes: hot, fresh and delicious. I like to try a variety of different items on the menu, therefore I can say I've yet to be disappointed. Everything is good. Good size portions and well priced too. Their signature dishes would have to be their Ramen dishes, hands down!! Well seasoned and flavorful. But beware, their spicy is SPICY. Enjoy!
I don 't eat a lot of Japanese food so I was a bit apprehensive heading into Itsuki for the first time. On top of that I 'd heard this is the place is where a lot of Japanese folks from the university go to eat so I assumed it was quite authentic. Now I can 't speak to the authenticity of the food but I can certainly say it was very tasty and very approachable for palates of any sophistication : We started with a bowl of spicy edamame which had just the right amount of pepper sauce and I (surprisingly found quite enjoyable. As a main course I went for a dinner plate of Amiyaki Beef which is sliced really thin, grilled and served with a delicious sauce. The Dinner Plate option comes with some pretty awesome miso soup, a small salad and rice. This was plenty of food for me for sure but not a ridiculous amount. The beef itself had an excellent charcoal Hibachi cooked flavor that paired well with the Teriyaki sauce. Other folks at the table got the salmon dish which was well liked, and the Spicy Chicken dinner plate which seemed a bit less impressive than the Amiyaki Beef and the salmon. Lots of other good looking stuff on the menu though, Yakiniku (beef chicken Katsu , Tonkatsu (pork and a ton of other good looking items : Nice selection of Japanese beers doesn 't hurt either. Service was fine on a mid week evening. the place was about half full when we got there and was nearly full when we left with about 8 folks waiting in the small entrance area. Will definitely go back, can 't wait to try some Tonkatsu :
I ordered takeout (through door dash) for this place and let me tell you, the spicy chicken lunch plate (it was called that or spicy chicken bowl, either way, it had the spicy chicken) was SO good. I loved the addition of roasted broccoli and thinly sliced onions in the same spices that the chicken was tossed in. My only gripe would be that there wasn't enough chicken (they gave more rice than chicken to be honest). But other than that, it was a solid dish. The miso soup was only good when it was hot. However, once it became cold, it was not the greatest flavor. In terms of the general atmosphere of the restaurant, I cannot speak to that (as I only ordered takeout). However, I definitely will be ordering again as the food was quite good.
