Dickey's Barbecue Pit - Gilbert

It was ooook. Got the three meat plate. the pulled pork was fantastic. absolutely love the regular BBQ sauce. it was simple. the Ribs were dry, didnt think that was possible. I got another meat that was sliced, cant remember what it was but that too was dry. Dry like it absorbed all of the saliva in your mouth kind of dry. The sides were fantastic. Beans and Mac n Cheese. The side roll was fantastic. Low score because of the dryness of the meat. Maybe it was just their off day? Ill try again and see how it turns out.

On my third visit to this restaurant just hours before closing, I was disappointed to find that they were out of wings. The brisket didn't seem to match the amount I paid for, and to top it off, there was no BBQ sauce provided.

The price for the three-meat meal and what you receive is outrageous. It is not worth it. The portion of meat itself is disappointing. The side dishes are minuscule, only three bites worth if you choose to eat them. I am unsure what the mashed potato casserole was supposed to be, as it lacked cheese or sour cream and had no flavor. Unfortunately, I did not receive my brownie, so I couldn't even comfort myself with sugar. However, the iced tea was enjoyable. It was not necessary for them to make it.

Everything was very tasty. I really like the grilled cheese with the barbecue sauce. It would have been even better if it had been grilled. The corn muffins were good. I added margarine to them. The cabbage slaw was very good. I may add just a little vegan mayo to them. The creamed spinach was very good. I think I will try crackers with them. And the potato salad was very good. I may add just a little vegan mayo to them. All I all, a very good meal. Thank you.

I ordered four meals with chicken, but the restaurant called to say they were out of chicken. The delivery driver was not at fault as he was already there. The order was missing items and the portions were small. The only positive was the BBQ sauce, which is why I am giving them one star.
