Persephone Brewing Company - Gibsons

I brought a class of college students studying sustainable housing and the environment of the Sunshine Coast to Persephone for lunch. We all had great food, a wonderful time in the sun and found out Persephone does tours. So we came back for a tour of the farm and brewery and learned so much about their commitment to preserving the environment. Don't miss the awesome bookshop upstairs!

This is a great place to stop after getting off of the Langdale ferry to relax for a bit or to fill up growlers. Also a great place to go before you get on the ferry (refill the growlers! . There is seating inside and outside...the selections of beer will keep everyone happy. In addition to having grounds to wander around you can learn a whole bunch about beer making and harvesting hops from the hops vineyard. The food may have been a little over priced...but perhaps creating a unique relaxing/socializing/drinking/eating experience justifies some food items costing more than they might in a regular restaurant. HINT: Go to the pay counter first (middle of the store and then to the fill counter (closest to the door .

To be honest ... second choice as the place we intended to go to was closed ... Persephone had a lunch menu and beer sandwich was good as was the beer. We sat at a table in the field close to the Corn Hole game. Nice Atmosphere. Price for a sandwich and beer was higher than what I had expected to pay. COVID vaccine verification enforced Thank You.

I am so disappointed with my experience at this restaurant. We visited on the weekend to try out the brewery. The elderly woman working at the counter was extremely unprofessional and rude. When my girlfriend ordered a cider, the woman simply handed it over without saying anything. When my girlfriend asked if it was her cider, as there were many people waiting, the woman replied rudely, saying it looked like cider to her, and then walked away. As someone who works in the restaurant industry in Vancouver, I cannot in good conscience sell or promote your beer to any of my customers, even though it is on our menu. I was truly dismayed by the lack of respect shown. My apologies to all the hard-working individuals who create delicious beers and ciders, but if your customer service is lacking, none of that matters.

Nice place to sit and enjoy delicious beer. Beautiful, farm setting with a casual atmosphere, inspires long leisurely afternoons with friends and family.
