The Regent - Gateshead

We had the best duck and pancakes last night I would say even better than Stowell street in Newcastle well done Regent food was lovely

It's supposed to be a takeaway, I ordered an expensive spring roll full of spam and 2 prawns probably cooked in castrol gtx and a house special which consisted of spam, onion, spam, 2 mushrooms, spam, 2 bits of pork, spam and spam, oh did I mention spam, maybe there's no chicken, beef or king prawns left after Xmas, anyways we all feel a bit ill at the moment for this expensive mistake.

We ordered food last night!! I have been ill since eating the food! Stomach cramps! Diahorrea! Sweats! Shaking To cap it all it tasted vile! Not a decent price of meat in site

Used to use the Regent regularly but hadn't for some time and it was always excellent however doubt after last nights offering if I will,ever return The Hot sour soup,and free prawn crackers (if you spent £14 or more were passable but the Chilli Salt ribs were small disgusting lumps of greasy gristle which were inedible Following main course of King prawn and Chicken Curry with fried rice wasn't much better so it turned out for me to be an unpleasant experience

I used to use this takeaway all the time but I think is went back a bit over the last few months Had 3 meals and to be honest the food was not good greasy chicken it was like rubber less meat in the dish than it used to be scrimping on the portions not filling the containers up with rice and chips well dry and burnt and obviously reheated a few times Sorry to give a negative review but I did try twice after the first bad meal giving another chance in total I think the bill for the 3 meals would be around the £70 mark considering most went in the bin
