Ilbay's Turkish Cuisine - Gateshead

This restaurant has everything you could want! The atmosphere is traditional and welcoming, and the food is amazing. The staff is fantastic - very kind and always attentive to your needs. The food is exceptional and I would give it 10 stars if I could. Highly recommend!

I am from the Leeds area, and my friend and I had a business trip to Newcastle last evening. Before heading back home, we decided to stop somewhere for food. We opened Google Maps and found a restaurant with the best reviews nearby. When we went inside, it was busy but not too crowded. We tried the food and loved it. It had been a long time since we had eaten such delicious food. I would recommend this restaurant to everyone, and I will definitely come back. It's worth the 110-mile drive for a meal and to visit Newcastle. Thank you so much, and see you again. By the way, the chef is top-notch. I forgot to take a picture, but I will next time.

This restaurant offers a happy hour menu with lots of deals. The food is decent and reasonably priced. The baklava, hummus with cacik, and seafood guvec were all delicious. However, the service is lacking as they forgot our drinks. Additionally, a 10% service charge is added to the bill but does not go to the staff.

The best turkish restaurant and turkish food I’ve had in a long time! The service is also amazing, we wanted to order for delivery but the restaurant was too far, however, they called us back and delivered the food within an hour and it was still hot! The taste is amazing and the value for food is very good

Another fantastic evening with amazing food. I’m never disappointed at Ilbays with fresh tasty food. We had the Christmas menu where we had loads to choose from and a good price. We were well looked after and even got complementary shots. I’d highly recommend Ilbays and one of the best places for Turkish food
