Sultan Tandoori - Gateshead

This has been our favourite local takeaway for the last 15 years. Tonight we placed an order at 6.20pm and was told it would be delivered within the hour. Having called them at 7.30pm and 8.10pm, on both occasions being told it was 10 mins away. It eventually arrived at 8.35pm, over 2 hours later and was not of the usual standard. Very disappointed.

Really fancied a curry and had heard good things about this place. They charged us for 2 naan breads but only delivered one. We got a lamb rogan Josh and chicken dupiaza, both meats were over cooked and tough, the chips were soggy and it was the greasiest take away i have ever had. The curries tasted like spiced water and there was no differentiating between which was which in taste. For the price six pieces of meat in a whole tray of curry was majorly disappointing. We will not be back.

First time ordering, ordered mix kebab, chicken tandoori, chicken tikka masala, chicken vindaloo, pilau rice, popadums, chutneys, really enjoyed it, nice fresh ingredients, really tasty, will definitely order again

I want to mention Rafiq mainly in this review for his outstanding customer service and willigness to provide me the wonderful Dhal. It was sublime Would highly reccomend this place and ask for Rafiq if he is available

Used to love this place.. got a meal last night and me and my son are now ill spewing we been up all night.. its disgusting now I will never ever be going back. And payed nearly 20 pound aswell.. so disappointed
