Marks And Spencer's Cafe Team Valley

As always what you would expect at Marks and Spencers, a lovely meal washed down with a very good cup of coffe.

Visited the Metro Centre and decided to start the day off with a breakfast. Had a quick look online and other local breakfast options didn't appeal. Called in to M&S. Service was quick and friendly. We were given a GPS device so that our breakfast could be delivered to whatever table we chose. My wife opted for the full English and at less than £7 it represented good value. The breakfast arrived in good time and was excellent. The only slight quibble was that the only choice of bacon was smoked. However, still very tasty. The surrounds were very clean and tidy, although a little basic. Nevertheless I would definitely recommend and will return in the future.

We went into the smaller if the two cafes in the metro centre Marks and Spencer shop. We queued for 20 mins ,while every available staff tried to sort one person's query regarding a voucher she had in her phone which wouldn't scan. No apology nor word of explanation, though in fairness we could all see what was going on. Ridiculously poor management. Actually, no-one was in charge. Such poor customer service that so many people can be left to queue while everything came to a stop. When we did try to order, one item wasn't available then the very elderly lady who had stood behind us also was told one item she wanted wasn't available, and while we were waiting for the drinks, another lady came back with tea that was green and not earl grey. No word of apology to her- the assistant took the teapot from her without a word. Tables were a complete mess though one young lad was rushing round trying to clear everything. Another young chap, wearing a white shirt and tie, who looked vaguely managerial, did absolutely nothing except mince around telling a young girl to clear the tables. All told, completely unacceptable and inadequate.

This cafe is big for this shop even though that the food is really nice. Really nice staff. And really reasonable prices

The cafa was ok but it was so cold and the fans generated artic conditions . They had to stay on as we were on the edge of a food hall. Best location for a coffee bar??? Maybe not
