Hacienda Jalisco Mexican - Galesburg

Jalisco is average Mexican fare. The chips were not fresh and the salsa had no real flavor. Ordered the carnitas which seemed a bit dry. Service was fast and friendly, but I ate Mexican the next night too, one town over and ordered carnitas again just for the comparison and it was night and day. Warm chips, flavourful salsa, and a ton of accompaniement (pickled jalapeño, sliced avocado) that Jalisco didn't offer. I'll drive the 15 minutes next time.

I cannot believe the positive ratings of this place. Maybe Galesburg has nothing else to offer so people don’t know good Mexican food, but this was the worst not only Mexican food but service as well. The lady across from us was complaining about her lack of service as well. Like literally, you have to flag them down to get anything besides what you order and they were not busy at all. You can tell a lot about a place just by their salsa and queso. The salsa was essentially tomato paste and the queso was the consistency of milk. If you want great Mexican food and even better service, go to Los Ranchitos in Monmouth! We will NEVER stray from them again!!!

The restaurant is small but mighty! The decor is vibrant and festive. The service is swift, and we loved that all employees were helping with every table to keep things moving.What we really noticed was that all of our food was flavorful without being smothered in strong sauces. From the burritos to the fajitas, everything had fantastic flavor that was just right.And my mango margarita was delicious!We arrived just before 6pm on a Friday evening and just beat the crowd coming into the restaurant. Kid-friendliness: There is a separate kids menu with a variety of options at a good price.

Worst place to get a fajita I understand inflation but I want meat not vegetables did not get a refill. Had a birthday party going on and it seemed like everybody was over there definitely will not be back. Food tasted good though I went to Taco Bell and got more food for the price that I paid for $22.50

ALWAYS A PLEASURE! AWESOME PEOPLE! AMAZING MEXICAN FOOD! THE BEST MEXICAN FOOD IN THE WORLD! After you eat here, ALL other Mexican food pales in comparison! Everything is Homemade! Including the chips and salsa! HIGHLY RECOMMEND! EVERYTHING OFFERED IS AMAZING!
