Sabor Azteca - Gaithersburg

I had some tacos in the upper moco, and these are the best. The meat is very well seasoned. I thought the chorizo tacos were especially delicious. Seriously.

Amazing tacos, amazing people. The chorizo and asada made me cry tears of joy. This food converted someone I know into enjoying Latino cuisine. I can give it no higher praise.

I ordered a torta lateish tuesday night after finishing up some volunteer work nearby, and was hangry. They made my order pretty quickly, were courteous when I came in to pay and was slightly disoriented. The torta was the size of my head and delicious, if I hadn't eaten all day I could have made it stretch two meals. I wish there was more filling though, it was a 2/3 bread ratio to 1/3 filling/sandwhich fixings. Be warned that google maps takes you into an empty back lot of different businesses near Sabor Azteca. I have bad night vision and it was frustrating that it took a few minutes finding the right location. No fault on the restaurants part, and it was worth having a good quality meal at almost 9pm at night.

I just discovered this gem today. The food is wonderful! I ordered 3 different dishes chicken enchiladas, chicken tostada and chorizo. I loved the tostada and was surprised how big it was! I imagined a small appetizer, but it wasn't. 2 or 3 would give you a full meal. The enchilada was good. It was a great balance, flavorful and not heavy. Rice was good alone and beans were seasoned, not salty. Honestly I got so greedy I couldn't get to the chorizo. Im certain based on the rest of the meal it will be good.

We tried the tacos Al Pastor and Chorizo, the sopes Tinga de pollo, the gorditas de chicharon, and the Enchiladas Pollo de Mole. My god this place has the best Mexican food I've had since I've moved to Gaithersburg in January. The best tacos I've had were from La Placita in Riverdale and I gotta say this place is better.
