Don Pollo - Gaithersburg

I love this place. I don't live in the area anymore, but when I come back, I always meet Don Pollo. Great skin on the chicken, juicy but not “wet”, and the curtains are always boiled until caramelized and tender. YUM

Don Pollo is a delicious, fast simple (and can be healthy depending on what you get! get a good meal when I'm on my way. They almost always get the order perfectly when they do not, they will not hesitate to fix it immediately.

This place is not as good as a Sardi's, but they check most boxes. The chicken was not on the hot (temperature) side as I like it, but everything was fine.

I work down the street and frequent this location. The store is clean, the service is excellent, and the food is delicious no matter what I've ordered. Today my colleagues and I got three chicken rice bowls, three chicken empanadas, and chicharones. I'm still kicking my fingers!

We ordered a whole chicken with two sides, and we were not disappointed. The chicken was perfectly marinated and incredibly juicy. The fried yuca had a delightful crispiness, while the plantains were sweet and of high quality. This was our first visit, and we definitely plan to return.
