Bidrage med feedbackVery authentic. The podi idli, masala dosa, plain aapam, paneer labadar and finish with warm
Ordered 3 dishes, butter chicken, goan fish curry and palak paneer. All three dishes were super oily. I did a take out order, and the portion size are small. Butter chicken had only 3.5 pieces, goan fish might be left over fish steaks. So make sure you ask what was the catch of the day before you order the fish curry. It’s one of the worst curry fish I had, I didn’t expect it was only 2 fish steaks and tasted like king fish steaks. 2 small slice with bones. Palak paneer, the spinach was watery blend and lack of spices. I did a take out order and the manager took my order was nice, so I might give another chance to dine in and see how they are. You can see my pics I only finished one fish steak and 2 pieces of chicken.
Chennai hoopers is one of best South Indian non- veg food I have had in the US. The food is very flavorful and spiced right.Their South Indian chicken varieties and appam is a must have. The best pat of the food is that it has home made taste and no food coloring. Their ambiance and service is exceptional. It is a must try if you are in the area
Must try place for authentic Chennai food! Ceylon parotta and chicken curry were excellent! Good ambience too!
Between the four of us we ordered samosa. It was superb. Appam: superb. Masala dosa superb except for the sambar which needs to be thinned down. The last thing ordered was Rogan Josh. Please reduce the amount of cloves and other whole cardamom in it. It was terribly thick.apart from that it was insanely spicy. The waiter asked us if we want the mutton spicy or mild. We told him spicy, but we did It to be so spicy that we could not even eat 3 tablespoons of it. None of us are ever going back to this place and I’ll tell my friends and office workers the same thing. As a chef Know what spicy means it does not mean to put so much spice that it becomes unbearably hot. It needs to be enough so that you feel the spice in your mouth of warm feeling but the way you put it. It was life eating fire. I wonder who is in charge of the kitchen.
