Te La Do Io L'italia - Funchal

Real Italian Pizza cook Mr. Pietro Giannotta and his wife opened the restaurant November 2014 at the Marina Shopping Loja Funchal. Real Italian cooking is so seldom outside of Italy. I ordered the plate of the day; macaroni in rich fresh tomato sauce with garlic chili, herbs and parmesan cheese, served with homemade pizza bread doused in sea salt. It was so nice I just had to taste a pizza. Without a stone oven, the pizza bread was magnificent… I sat by the window and watched wind surfers outside of Funchal harbour cutting through the waves. With the sun on my face third of January 2015 the message was clear; Funchal Madeira is the place to be and this family restaurant is a good place to eat while enjoying scenic harbour views.

Amazing eating, it is hidden in the mall, so it is not very touristy, but worth the money.

Hidden in a small shopping center at the harbour (after the pizza war! . football on the big screen and a cold beer! What else do you need on holiday? I have visited this restaurant with a pasta loving child and his expert review about eating is 'excellent'! it seems to be a local place where madeiras eat and stay happy during the day. I would highly recommend this restaurant.

Surprisingly great pizza and beer! authentic Italian restaurant with generous fresh ingredients. it is not one of these tourist restaurants, a bit hidden in a shopping center. I can see that they have many local loyal customers, which is always a good sign. I highly recommend trying!
