Down Home Comfort Bakery - Front Royal

When I first entered this place that made me feel at home. The food was very tasty and I felt very welcomed. I would recommend to anyone!

Very sweet business with many beautiful goods! We visit the city and this was definitely a fav stop: everything is homemade and looks delicious! We have fresh baked lemon cookies, fluffy white bread and HUGE pecan sticky rolls! Also dog friendly!!

This café is enchanting and has a wide selection of baked goods and jam among many other things for sale. I have the cinnamon roll that was beautiful and sweet without being excessively sweet. The lemon square was delicious along with its fudge. I'd like to go back and look at their other objects like the moonlight bread.

We purchased pies and mini whoopie pies from Down Home Comfort Bakery to serve as our wedding dessert. Not only were they absolutely delicious (we had no whoopie pies left at the end of the night! but we also had a wonderful experience working with the owner, Maureen. When we visited for a tasting last year, she had tons of options prepared and sent us home with extras. She was responsive and flexible when we had to postpone our wedding due to COVID and very kindly delivered the desserts to our wedding caterer, who was also located in Front Royal, at no charge. The pies and whoopie pies are also very reasonable priced compared to other bakeries we looked at in the DC area. It was exactly what we wanted for our wedding and the experience couldn't have been more seamless. We'll definitely be stopping by whenever we're in Front Royal! Photos by Chelsea Diane Photography.
