De Villiers Chocolate Cafe

Turned off at the Spice Route, looking for De Villiers chocolate, ended up turning left at the T-Junction on the restaurants side. The signage indicating where De Villiers Chocolate was not the best. Between the 4 of us, took us a little while before finally getting there. Unfortunately, with the C19 restrictions and limited time, we did not get to doing a chocolate tasting per se, but, we certainly bought enough stock/variety to do a tasting of our own. Staff were friendly and helpful, could not resist the ice-cream to go as well. Next time, will allocate a little more time to enable us to experience the delights on offer.

This is my 4th visit at De Villiers. The staff are always friendly. The tasting is amazing. I do miss the batch tasting, but every time we visit spice route this is our number 1 stop. No tasting has been the same and love trying all the new innovations. Good value for money.

Well worth visiting, the tasting fee. This place will be heaven to diabetics that love chocolate. Extremely impressed with their range of “no-added-sugar” chocolates, that meets true keto requirements(sweetened with erythritol and monk fruit only) Also, extremely friendly staff.

What an outstanding setting; my family and I tried the ice cream and chocolate taste tasting. The atmosphere throughout the entire establishment is fantastic; we are certainly returning very soon.

The chocolates are all arranged along a small table, which you taste one and move along. The staff are very friendly and helpful and the chocolates are so creamy and flavoursome. The experience is very affordable and is just the right amount of chocolates to taste. It would be a good option if you were able to take a piece of each tasting and put this on a tray and perhaps sit somewhere and enjoy them at your leisure. It can feel slightly awkward and rushed when you need to move from one to the other across a small space, with staff and other guests watching, and no opportunity to really sit and enjoy the tasting. However, the experience is still a must and worth it.
