Cafe Messina - Fortitude Valley

This restaurant is fantastic for dining! The food is of high quality and delicious.

We arrived at 2 o'clock and were worried we might not be able to have lunch, but the manager and chef were very kind and accommodated our requests. All the dishes were generous portions and of high quality.

We made a group booking for breakfast here and enjoyed it so much that we came back for dinner with my partner. We had a great meal at both meals. The breakfast had many options and the coffee was excellent. The back of the café had long benches where the staff was able to arrange tables and seats for our group of 11 comfortably. For dinner, we ordered the risotto marinara, which was a generous portion and the seafood was fresh. The staff was friendly and attentive. We noticed many people getting takeaway pizza as we left, so we will definitely be returning to try the pizza.

I visited here one morning to the breakfast on the way to work. the food offers 2 breakfast offers speck and eggs or an breakfast roll coffee for $10. the meal is really good and overall was really nice. I would probably suggest changing the Hamburger back on the roll to a Turkish brot, but overall really good. also the coffee was very good. the service was good and turned around the time was quite fast. There are many indoor seating and the caffe also offers free wlan. parking is very limited due to the location. overall a pretty good facility I hope they get more business.

As a Chef I love my food I also happen to love Italian food. I wanted to rate this well, I honestly did but the dry crumbly doe that was like inhaling chip board tasted as if i was chewing on a wall, probably rolled hours before and left in the fridge with no love involved, Sad! The topping was stingy as if they couldn't afford to spare an olive or that extra slice of processed ham on a $13 8inch pizza. With fake tasteless plastic cheese to top the paste of what I presume to be tomato sauce, this was not an enjoyable pizza, only average at best!! Sorry for my harsh comments but this is the city and I expected better!
