Bidrage med feedbackCame here for Wein Fest on Fort Knox. The venue itself was set up very nicely for the event. Upon entering we checked in and were handed our glass, adjacent to where we checked in was a set of bathrooms. When you first walk in, all the distributors were set up. There were a few wine booths that were set up, a couple offered sweet wines, and one offered delicious dark, dry red wine. I highly recommend 1000 stories Zinfandel bourbon barrel aged wine, so flipping delicious. There were also a handful of bourbon vendors that ranged from wood Ford reserve, four roses, and blackened which is an American whiskey branded by Metallica. I recommend looking it up and learning how it's made, pretty cool concept. In the ballroom, they had a live band and a buffet style dinner. The music was great! The food ranged from prime rib, to chicken and a multitude of sides. For dessert, bread pudding, Yum! Great event to support the troops, look forward to doing it again next year!
Still under staffed, service is fine. Food is good enough for trivia night, but not great. If given the choice I'd probably eat elsewhere, however the fries are EXCELLENT. Always crispy and tasty. However the manager doesn't seem to care because this business is still unclaimed (as with pretty much everything on Knox). No one here believes in the internet, nor do they seem to care that most of the reviews online about Knox sucks. This place is stuck in the 1990s, and will not change.
This venue is popular for military dining in/out events. The bar was understaffed; 2 bartenders for over 100 guests, and one was busy taking inventory at the peak of social hour before the call to mess. Food is mediocre. How can you have a formal dinner and serve only plastic cups of margarine at the buffet, with no butter on the tables? This was a $35 meal worth about $15.99 at a buffet. Glasses were not even charged with a sparkling beverage for toasting. Weak tea and water. Dry sheet cake dessert. No coffee. The outdoor covered patio is nice. I would rent it for an event and bring my own BBQ or hire an outside caterer.
