Bidrage med feedbackI can confidently add this restaurant to my "do not eat here ever again" list. The initial timing for my order was satisfactory, but that’s where the positives end. After returning home with my mouth watering in anticipation, I took my first bite and was met with disappointment. Every dish was terrible. The noodles were just ordinary spaghetti, not lo mein. The sesame chicken was far from crispy; it tasted like it had been microwaved—soggy and flavorless, with the breading falling off to reveal freezer-burned chicken underneath. For the amount of money I spent, I expected a decent meal, but I got anything but that. This was the worst dining experience I've ever had, and in a town like E-town, that says a lot given the number of terrible restaurants. Save your time and money—avoid this place.
This restaurant is an excellent choice for sit-down Chinese cuisine. The ingredients and vegetables are fresh, and the dishes are flavorful and cooked to order. I particularly enjoyed the Mongolian beef, which had the perfect smoky grilled flavor. The fried rice was light and flaky, not at all soggy. The Mu Shu pork was made with fresh ingredients and wasn't overly mixed together. The service from the waitstaff was outstanding. This place rivals, if not surpasses, some of the best sit-down Chinese restaurants I’ve experienced in a while. I’ve previously had take-out from here and was not as impressed; I believe the sit-down meals are far superior because they are served fresh and not sitting in a carryout box.
The server then brought the manager over, who asked me again why I hadn’t eaten the dish. I explained that I simply didn’t like it and reiterated my request for the check. The manager then turned to my mother and started complaining about how we must have wanted lo mein instead, questioning why we hadn't ordered that. He even implied that I didn't know the difference between the two dishes. I felt quite flustered and countered, "I know the difference between lo mein and chow mein; I didn't eat it because it tasted terrible." The manager huffed away and sent the server to collect my payment. Overall, the food was bland and the service was even worse. Do yourself a favor and just buy frozen Asian food from the store. At least it has some flavor, and you won't have to deal with the arrogance of people like this.
I really enjoyed Green Bamboo several years ago. However, today I took my granddaughter there for the first time thinking it would be a nice place to go. The experience was not relaxing and pleasurable. We attempted to ask questions about the menu, butthe waitress was so no we can 't do that on everything we asked that we just ended up ordering and really did not enjoy what wegot. Our first question was could we get lo mein noodles with the dish instead of fried rice... NO. Then I failed to ask if thechicken was fried on the dish I ended up ordering because everything was to hurried. We did order an appetizer, but it came out, then a few minutes later the soup and then a few minutes later the meal. We had everything in front of us at once. I just feltlike we weren 't to ask any questions because you should already know the menu. The feeling was to let 's order and get you out ofhere! Food was just ok.
