Oxley Tavern - Forest Lake

Very nice sports bar, the staff were friendly and the service was excellent and it was no trouble for them to change the channel on one of the TV's so we could watch the Broncos play. We had a great meal and when my husband spilt his entire cup of coffee in my lap, they happily cleaned it up and gave him a new one. We'll be back

This place got good food and good selection of slots but can't be said for the staff here extremely rude yell before actally hearing me out for hiting a slot machines the button on the lighting one was broken try attempt to tell her staff member whould not want to hear it just kept yelling abuse at me while customers looked on call that customer service or what to be honest if u looking for slots there far better place around Brisbane that actually welcome ur business not actally have a good yell at u before even listening to what going on was a waste of time in the end walk out with ko winnings and bad vibe.

We had our family Christmas party held here with our workers, as we have a small family business. We wanted to just have a quiet dinner, get together to have a few drinks and sing some Kareoke and just enjoy our time here in peace. The night started out awkward as we had been waiting to be served for more than 30 mins. (Dinner was good could've been better, as some of our food were overlooked) The service wasn't great either, the lady that served us briefly greeted us, took us to our table & made us wait nearly 40 mins to order and there weren't many people around at the time we had sat down. After we ate, we decided it was time for some karaoke and as soon as we walked in, we all got asked for ID. However, before we even ate dinner the boys had gone in to buy some drinks at the bar a few times, which is basically next to the kareoke set up & never did they see any security guard ask for the other patrons ID's when they had just entered. Unfortunately one of the lady's in our group didn't bring her ID with her and so we couldn't stay. We got told to go to another tavern up the road & that there was nothing they could do, it's the "law" yet no one else got asked for their ID. So we didn't get a chance to enjoy our night. We had spent over $700 for our dinner and drinks and that's how they treat us? We'll take our money somewhere else. Poor service! Wouldn't come back!

If you want great food at a reasonable price in a comfortable atmosphere and great service then visit the Oxley Tavern. I have eaten there a number of times and always thoroughly enjoyed the experience

If the woman who served us was anymore disinterested she would have been asleep. First time to the Oxley Tavern restaurant Bobs and didn't realise I had to watch cage fighting on the big screen in the middle of the restaurant.The food was tasty and burgers juicy but we couldn't wait to leave after waiting so long to get our meal which I suspect was due to a lack of staff.The beer garden out on the main road would be lovely on a warm evening with friends if you were all into sport. The restaurant is tiny inside and very open to the punters/numerous huge screens and all the sounds that go with it.
