Bidrage med feedbackWe landed in Richmond and made our way to check-in to the hotel. We were hoping to catch dinner at the hotel, so we tried calling the front desk multiple times to find out if anything was available or open. No one ever answered the phone. When we arrived for check-in around 9:30pm, the receptionist was on the phone with someone trying to locate their reservation. She ignored us while we stood there and waited. After 5 minutes of unsuccessfully trying to find their reservation, we had to interrupt her so we could check-in and put the caller on hold. We ended up with a basement room, next to the elevator. Unfortunately, this hotel is not sound proof by any stretch of the imagination. People in the hallway sound like they’re in your room, and you can hear the room directly above you. The breakfast isn’t much of a breakfast. Black coffee, apples, muffins. On our last morning, we called the front desk at 9am as we were short on towels and TP. The receptionist stated she was the only one available and couldn’t breakaway to drop those items off. We were told it would be better if we walked up the retrieve our items. The hotel itself is beautiful, the rooms are large and nicely laid out. The location to downtown is ideal and walking distance to everything. However, the customer service and overall experience was poor. I read through some of the recent reviews to see if anyone else had the same experience. Unfortunately, they have. Noise complaints, requests for improved breakfast, lack of customer service. For what they’re charging compared to the Holiday Inn and Hampton Inn 1 mile away, they have some work to do. While those hotels may not look as nice, the service and amenities are much better than Weyanoke. We spent the last night of our trip at the Holiday Inn.
The hotel was cute, clean, and the beds were comfy. We stayed one night so we could get an early start on the High Bridge Trail. Hotel location was perfect. We did not have a great experience at Catbird, the roof top restaurant but ended up really enjoying dinner at The Press Club next door.
Beautiful hotel and wonderful food. Very clean and stylish. The rooms are so comfortable and I had a robe after my shower, so nice and very dog friendly. Loved the staff as well, they are all so accomodating.
We loved this hotel. It's beautiful and very updated in the rooms. The restaurants were tasty, especially Taproot! There are a few downsides to this hotel. The parking is very inconvenient. I feel like all we did was go up and down stairs Everytime we went anywhere. The continental breakfast consisted of coffee, apples, yogurt, and muffins. This may be a covid issue. They don't have an ice machine available. They have freezers with bagged ice. The bags were often stuck to the freezer and them you have to bang the ice to get it loose. Other than that, we enjoyed our stay and would stay again.
We stayed for one night while furniture shopping. This is a beautiful boutique hotel in a small town, that could compete with the best boutique hotels in NY City!Lobby-charming and clean. Receptionist kind and professional. The rooms are very nice, we had a king bed , with a small balcony. The bathroom is amazing with high end toiletries.Bar on lobby level serves excellent cocktails. We had the pleasure of having a drink at the rooftop bar. It was nice with a beautiful view ,but a bit chilly! The restaurant downstairs is intimate, and had excellent food! It’s more than tavern food, the chef prepares high end dishes at a reasonable price. We started with salmon toast which was delicious, and then had filet and vegetable lasagna- both really good!Ii hope you have the chance to stay at this lovely hotel!
