Bidrage med feedbackI have always loved Jalapeño; it's been my go-to restaurant for a long time. However, I've recently noticed a decline in their service. When I came in to pick up my to-go order, the place was busy. I wouldn't have minded waiting for my food, but none of the staff acknowledged my presence. I stood at the register for 14 minutes, growing increasingly frustrated as every server who passed by avoided making eye contact with me. Two other customers joined me at the counter, waiting to pay as well. I understand that it's a small-town business, but I can’t help but wonder how many customers have left without paying because there was no one at the register. The staff could really benefit from some hospitality training; they all seemed miserable.
The grease on the fries tasted really stale, the salsa seemed like it came from a jar, and the queso resembled more of a packaged white gravy than actual cheese. What we received were inedible nachos—burnt and chewy—that we still had to pay for. On a positive note, the cheese enchiladas were decent. However, during the hour we were there, our waiter, Luis, only checked in with us twice after taking our order. Maybe we just happened to visit on a bad day, but I won't be returning to find out.
First time here. We were seated promptly. It was very busy so we had to wait a bit for our server to take our order but it was worth every minute of the wait! Food was delicious, plentiful, and priced right. All of the staff were cordial and hard working. We will definitely be back!!!
This charming locally-owned restaurant is a gem! The food is consistently delicious, and the atmosphere is lovely. I took my daughters there today, and we were impressed to see just one person managing the entire operation. He was serving tables, preparing drinks and chips, cooking, and even cleaning up— and he made it all look effortless! Despite the restaurant being quite busy, he handled everything like a seasoned professional. We’ll definitely be returning! It’s a fantastic little spot.
The ambiance is a bit dim, but overall, it was a great experience. The spinach enchiladas were likely the best I've had in a long time. They are genuinely filled with spinach, not just a hint of it.
