Precisely I am a good customer, who from a restaurant does not seek gastrosensory experience but simply a good meal in a friendly environment. So I do not formalize if, as in this case lacks a napkin or is not brought bread with the appetizers: the restaurant has recently opened, just ask and the problem is resolved in a baton. Just as it doesn't make me uncomfortable to hear the noise of broken glass several times or to attend some tricks among staff: I worked as a waiter and lived both situations. But if I order a pizza whose main ingredient is the burrata Apulia, in case this ingredient is missing I would like it to be told in ordering so that I can guide accordingly my choice; instead I was told to pizza already made, with the burrata replaced by an anonymous mozzarellona. In the same way, if I book through a service that guarantees me a 40% discount (without which I would probably not have come to know the local and before going to dinner phone for details (on The Fork you could book only for 2 or for more than 8 people; we were in 4 receiving spontaneous reassurances on the fact that the discount would have been applied anyway, I don't expect that the cash register to be completely ignored. As it did. I expect even less that, after having noticed, the owner returns the sum SBAGLIATA (and we do not insist for love of peace... . For the rest it has not eaten badly; the pizzas and desserts in the average, the fried good but from menu a quantity that for me is equivalent to a portion it would cost 22 euros. The prices related to the portions are indeed high and without the discount the dinner would not be worth the expense. I think that the purpose of doing these promotions is to convince the customer of their quality and call it back even without discounts; dynamic that with pleasure I have indulged in excellent restaurants. But if the food does not leave the mark, the prices are disproportionately high, the environment and the service do not put at ease: for what should you return, exactly?
Apart from the place that may be of doubt taste or not, we have found several anomalies. In the first place the price/ quantity ratio absolutely disproportionate, a mixed grill with 5 shrimps, 5 sardoncini and a small trancio of frog of the value of a few euros sold at an exaggerated price. The poor appetizers and they didn't bring us a piece of bread. It was immediately understood that they were trying to amortize the fact that we were with the discount the fork 40% And it is a shame because the food was not extraordinary but not even so bad. Also at the cashier tried to make me pay the full price without applying the discount, then justifying itself several times for forgetfulness. Adhering to the circuit the fork means advertising by putting something back on the part of the participating restaurants, but every exercise is free to do as you believe, but this is not the right way to conquer new customers.
