It was a burrito with non of the vegetables shown on the menu and it tasted like pig slop. None of the prices were listed on the menu so you had no idea how much any of the food cost and when we went to pay the bill of horrible food not displayed on the menu in the first place-they charged us 20 euros for two orders for lunch in Evora-what a joke this place was and I strongly encourage people to stay as far away from this horrible food as humanly possible. They randomly assigned a price to two dishes we never ordered after pointing to the crepes on the pictured menu that looked completely different and tasted like ****. Horrible customer service dealing with the wrong food items and being over charged! I have had nothing but wonderful experiences with every single restaurant up and down Portugal until I got to this horrible excuse of a restaurant.
I asked for a bacalhau à brás and it was very good but half of the plate was occupied by salad. I didn't ask for salad, I uderstand that salad is a complement for the food I asked and I wanted bacalhau à brás, not half of it and half of salad.
This is a very clean, simple, small cafe. It had white walls with splashes of bright, cheerful decor. The service was friendly and prompt. I don't recall if we ordered at the counter or not but we were served at the table. I had a generous portion of spaghetti with peeled shrimp and it was one of the tastiest, cheapest and healthiest lunches I had in 3 weeks of touring Spain and Portugal. It was served with green salad topped with shredded carrots. I asked for parmesan cheese and was given a foil packet from the kitchen, which was a little unusual, but it was the finishing touch that made the dish.
This little restaurant (you do sit at tables and are served) was recommended by our town tour guide as having wonderful salads, and it didn't disappoint. As you face the church, it is around the corner on the right, down the stairs. Simple and friendly, there were clearly locals who go there regularly, but English was understood, and the menu explained. Takes credit cards, and is reasonably priced.
Muito boa cafeteria e restaurante !!! Próximo à Catedral e pontos nobres!!! Grande serviço, especialmente a Sra. Maria João!!!
