The Gem is not gourmet, but it's friendly staff and yummy breakfast menu is sure to please most diners. Well worth a visit.
Who would want to come back when you are rushed to place a order and clearly we just sat down. First time there and I live in Elliot Lake. No service what so ever but to order and leave.......I can't imagine this place to be open much longer with bad service, not even a friendly smile, how is lunch or just caring. She clearly saw us not ready and I had not been in there before. She kept coming back 3 times in 3 minutes to place a order.....get better staff!
Gem has wonderful breakfast options..large portions as well as great homefries. The poutine and chicken fingers are another awesome meal to order
Too expensive - 2 pieces of pie and 2 coffee: $20 A lot of people do not know of the restaurant or where it is located
