Gasthaus Pension Zum Rennsteig

Always happy. Here you will find the original Thuringian cuisine in beautiful surroundings. Very nice hosts and the food was on the table. Again and again a recommendation.

I stayed at Mrs. Lutz's house. That day it was pouring, and so I came here in a slap. Immediately I was offered to hang my wet stuff in the heating cellar or to put the shoes there. The rooms are all neatly furnished, but (typical Rennsteig) also came a little into the years. But they were clean. And Ms. Lutz is also very concerned that it remains. The dinner in the inn next door was very tasty, the dishes, apparently with a lot of love, gracefully dressed and the taste and quality excellent. Breakfast was also excellent next morning. There was absolutely nothing missing. When you arrive, you will be asked whether coffee or tea (if yes, which) and accordingly there is a small box in the morning. Ms. Lutz runs the pension alone and this visibly with a lot of heart blood. Who goes on the Rennsteig or generally hikes is right here

We stayed there as well as in the guest room for dinner. The reception is very warm. The rooms are clean and everywhere in the house you will find nice wood decoration, which is apparently self-made. Dinner at the guest room was very delicious. Since the evening only we and 2 other hikers were expected (it rained like from Eimers), the selection of dishes was manageable. But that is completely fine, because the quality counts and that was definitely given! The dishes were also beautifully modern, that would not have been expected at the establishment of the room. We were very positively surprised. Breakfast in the morning was also delicious and fresh. The hosts have probably kept a selection of possible ingredients for breakfast from pandemic times, which will be filled in the evening before. That's a nice idea to prevent waste, because that's just what's really eating at the buffet. And if there's anything going out or missing, it's going down. A super service! We felt comfortable all around and can recommend Gasthaus und Pension unlimited!

We were very disappointed that, despite the extensive menu on the Internet, we did not get food served. On the other hand, we were told that we could only feed here on a multi-day pre-order. In addition, the friendliness of the service left much to be desired. In the course of a tourist activity, this journey is very unpracticable.

Great atmosphere, delicious food.Is definitely recommended.
