Bidrage med feedbackThe best smoothies on Martha's Vineyard! It's also a fantastic spot for the freshest grab-and-go options on the island, with very friendly staff.
The smoothies here are absolutely delicious! This is the best spot for lunch in Edgartown.
While we were enjoying the weather and chatting, we noticed that other guests were staring at us and even called staff over to check if we were supposed to be there. It was frustrating because we saw the staff ignoring the other guests who seemed to be wealthier than us, while we were just trying to relax. This made us feel even more out of place and treated unfairly compared to the other, seemingly privileged guests. It was both of our first times visiting Martha's Vineyard, and honestly, we didn't enjoy the experience. It would have been nice if the staff had verified everyone instead of singling us out. We felt judged based solely on our appearance. As for the wealthy guests displaying rude behavior, I can't really rate that specifically, but I do give the hotel just 1 star. Although the place was beautiful, the toxic atmosphere completely spoiled it for us. The staff should have ensured we felt welcome instead of making us feel like we didn't belong. Next time, they should avoid bothering guests who are not causing any issues, as it reflects poorly on the hotel. Additionally, when I tried to call for room service, I found that the phones in the room didn't work, forcing me to use my own phone to place an order. I did appreciate the personalized TV message in my room, but my coworker didn’t receive that feature, which felt unfair. Overall, the experience was disappointing and not what we had hoped for.
We were so excited to see the new changes after being taken over from the Kelley House(which we loved and miss) but found the Faraway extremely underwhelming for the overinflated nightly rate of $1400+ per night…higher than the Harbor View rates!! There is no in room mini fridge, coffee station, robe, or slippers provided. The shower looks like it belongs in a motel…or gym bathroom, it’s just an open alcove with a curtain rod/shower curtain. There is limited drawer storage, and the clothing rod in the closet is literally only 4ft above the floor so your clothes are pooling on the floor. There is a $50 bike rental fee…bikes are complimentary at the Harbor View. The decor is mediocre at best, and the room did not appear to have been vacuumed prior to our checking into it. We inquired about potentially checking out early, and were informed there is a no cancellation policy and we would would be charged the full rate. The front desk clerk did offer to ask the manager for the possibility of providing a credit for a future stay…. No Thank you!! The pool and cabana area are lovely and beautifully designed and the Pelican is a chic outdoor restaurant/bar however this is a 3 star hotel at best commanding 5 star rates. This is not in the same league as the Harbor View, they need to lower their price point accordingly or they won’t be in business in Edgartown for long.Walkability: Great location to all the restaurants and shops
