Giancarlo Cafe & Bar - Eaton

I had dinner here before my flight and the atmosphere was lovely. It was amazing to watch the planes landing and taking off. The pizza was really delicious.

The service at this restaurant was really bad and rude. We visited the café on 27/1/20 early in the morning and the staff got our order wrong. They missed one of our items and when we pointed it out, there was no apology. We had to pay again for the missing item and when we questioned one of the sandwiches, the server didn't mention the mistake earlier. They also seemed unhappy when we asked about the bill and didn't provide good customer service. It seemed like the server wasn't fully awake yet. We hope that Darwin airport gets a new café with better employees soon. It's not pleasant to have such a negative experience at the beginning of a trip and leave Darwin with a bad impression.

I had a terrible experience at this restaurant. The coffee was awful and the service was extremely rude. There are plenty of other people out there who would be happy to work at this establishment if the employees clearly hate their jobs.

I can't believe I just paid $5.20 for a small flat white coffee! Apparently the price of $4.80 rose in the last month, which a demolition. I'm not here.

I’m a frequent traveller to Darwin so I knew this place as the ideal meetup place with loved ones during transit waits and such. Was served at the counter by An abrupt speaking lady who probably needs a refresher on how to do customer service....Ordered a pizza for $10.50 and by that price, and the glamorous pictures of it being displayed on their flashing screens behind the counter, I was unfortunately fooled. If you wanna serve prepacked pizza from Coles, I don’t expect to pay $10.50 for it, especially there was no such hospitality from the lady that the money would have contributed to. Additionally, checked the Darwin airport website- they even shoutout the fact they sell pizza... like seriously, out of everything they sell, Darwin airport decides to mention their pizza! not sure why because it’s really nothing to brag about on their professional website. The lady didn’t tell me to wait for the pizza or to go sit down and it would be taken to me. I was supplied no serviettes when she handed my plate to me. I went to sit down at a table and it obviously looked like someone.... attempted to clean the table prior and miserably failed. There were traces of where they had wiped it, but there were still obvious crumbs on the table. Not worth anything.
