Landmark 1887 Grill Ale House

The atmosphere was enhanced by great music and dim lighting, and the locally sourced food was exceptional. Our waiter even caught the scallops we savored!

We were aware there would be a wait, even though not all the tables were occupied. Our server was pleasant, but after waiting over two hours and consuming plenty of bread, the chef's only comment about my filet was "it needs to be in the oven for 30 minutes." We ended up leaving without eating—on my birthday, no less. Service requires motivation; if you can't offer that, it might be better not to take on the responsibility. Being defensive isn't a good approach to running a business, regardless of who is at fault.

There may be a bit of a wait for meals at times, but the food is consistently fantastic, and the atmosphere is unique and relaxed. During the summer, there’s often live music, adding to the overall enjoyable ambiance. The surroundings are great, and the food is excellent! I absolutely love it and definitely give it five stars!

This is my favorite place on the island! The food is fantastic, the drinks are refreshing, and the service is top-notch. After just one visit, it feels like you've been coming here forever. A huge shoutout to the staff for their amazing hospitality!
