Bidrage med feedbackIn our travel from Gros Morne to St. John's we were delighted to find the Happy Adventure Inn for a two-night stay. Our room was large, comfortable, clean, and with a balcony offering an amazing view of the harbor. We appreciated the full breakfasts and enjoyed two nice dinners. The Damnable Trail Salvage Trails network in nearby Salvage was a real treat, some of the best hiking we did in Newfoundland! James is a thoughtful, engaged, knowledgeable, hard-working host with a strong team.Nearby activities: Damnable Trail Salvage Trails, Sandy Cove Beach
Awesome experienceOwners are fantasticFood was amazingAll home cookingVery fresh as well
The hotel and restaurant have a priceless views of the harbour. We had breakfast and dinner in the restaurant. The breakfast was one of the best of our trip through eastern Canada with lots of fresh fruit. The kitchen is also really impressive in other respects. In addition you also have this fantastic view. The hotel rooms are spacious and have a balcony. James is a wonderful and caring host. Unfortunately nobody is on site overnight, but here too they found a good solution for returning from my morning jogs so as not to stand in front of closed doors. If I ever make it back to this corner of Canada this is an absolute must for me. No other rating than 5 stars in all categories possible.
My stay was part of a Come From Away package through Maxxim Tour Company. This was the third place that I stayed on my six day trip. Unfortunately, by the time I arrived in Happy Adventure, I was not feeling well at all. I put on my mask to check in. James at the desk was absolutely lovely, and accommodating. He carried my suitcase up to my room for me and helped me settle in. Later, Charlotte brought me soup for dinner in my room. I don't believe they even charged me for that! The next morning, without me even asking, I was brought breakfast in my room again. So I was able to rest and begin recovering in one of the most beautiful places I have ever been. The view from my room was gorgeous: water, boats, and shoreline. So peaceful.Unforgettable!!
We did not stay at the hotel. We were travelling as a family, 13 of us, various ages. We dined at the Inn. Service and food was above expectations. Staff was friendly and efficient. The prices were also better than expected except for children's meals. They were expensive for children and the amount of food was too much for the majority of children. A more reasonable size plate and a reduced price would be better. Would definitely return every time we are in the area and will recommend to everyone travelling that way.
