The Lord Edward - Dublin

I really enjoy the upper level for groups, as well as the somewhat hidden lower-level areas. I've always gone there with a group, and there tend to be plenty of other clusters of people around in the evening. However, I can't comment on the daytime experience.

This is a quintessential Irish pub located in a very touristy area, yet as soon as you step inside, you feel transported away from the hustle and bustle. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, with incredibly friendly staff and patrons. They offer excellent drinks and top-notch service. This was our go-to pub every day, and we absolutely loved it—definitely miss it!

Charming little pub located next to the Jury Inn hotel and directly across from Christ Church Cathedral. It has a genuine Irish vibe and isn't touristy at all. There’s a great selection of beers and whiskeys, and the bartenders are very friendly. There’s no music, which creates a perfect atmosphere for conversation and reflection. It's truly traditional and authentic. I hope this place maintains its unique spirit. I had a wonderful experience and will definitely return on my next visit.

We had a bit of confusion before our visit, as we’d heard that Lord Edward’s was closed, but it turns out that only the restaurant part is shutdown. They did advertise a grilled toast, but unfortunately, it wasn’t available. I had hoped to dine at the well-known Fish and Chips place next door, but it seems the owner doesn’t allow that, which didn’t quite make sense since they had no food to offer. Despite all that, we had a wonderful time. The boys and I are easy to please, but the girls really enjoyed the ginger ale and Jameson. They serve a little bottle of ginger ale that they can mix to their liking, which they loved. The service was fantastic, and we’re likely to return before we leave on Thursday... probably every night!
