Da aldo is located at the bottom of the ferry. simply search for the yellow markise as the picture shows. it can be very busy with the locals that is very good. they can ask, have made a sandwich as they like it. brot they use was great and the meat was great. that was a great takeaway sandwich that my wife and I just enjoyed. we ate the sandwiches on monte solara.

I have nothing but amazing things to say about that balance. I had the tomate, mozzarella and prosciutto sandwich and had a second that it was so good. the broth and the ingredients were as fresh as they can get, as they cut everything in. before them into slices. this is a must if on capri!

Caprese panini is great! comes with many tomato, buffalo mozzarela and olive oil. very good value and efficient service.

We landed here on a saturday night because all the other restaurants were fully booked(truffle season). A tip: If you plan to visit this area in the truffle season, make sure you book all your restaurants quite some time before! Da Aldo was a very...interesting experience where the owner himself(I guess Mr Aldo) serves himself and probably his wife in the kitchen. It seems and feels really like eating at their living room rather than a restaurant. Just 6 persons that night, television was on(he stopped once in a while to watch his favourite program that night apparently) and no menu! You just get the menu what is prepared for that day.The food is obviously home-made but you can tell(I am a former restaurant owner) that it's not prepared by a professional chef. Nevertheless the taste of the dishes were not bad and together with the nice bottle of Dogliano DOC, it was an interesting experience. The best part was the bill: 50 euro's for a complete meal for 2 including a bottle of wine and 2 coffee's!! I would not go again myself and alsodo not rcommend for those who are there for the piemontese food they have been craving for for a long time. But if you like comfort food and not into the gastronomy aspect, then this is a great deal!!
