Wendy's Kitchen - Destin

Usually this location is very busy and line wraps around the building, but I guess we caught a good time. Ladies handling drive thru we sweet and accommodating. We ordered 2 of the 4 for $4 meals. We got a lot of sauce, napkins and food was accurate. Overall, the experience was on the point.

The service was incredibly fast! The manager really encouraged the team to keep up with the busy rush. They were actively involved in the kitchen, preparing food and assisting wherever needed. When we noticed the Dr. Pepper was out, we requested a refill, and they promptly took our cup behind the counter and quickly replenished the soda machine. As a vegetarian, I loved the selection of delicious, healthy salads and baked potatoes—absolutely fantastic! Great job, everyone!

Since I had already placed my order and paid for it, I let them know that I was there to pick it up. I was informed that they were short-staffed. Thankfully, another person intervened—who I believe was the manager (based on her attire). She took my mobile order name and told me I could move forward. The manager then let me know that they were out of pineapple mango lemonade due to a machine issue and offered to reimburse me while asking what I would like in its place. During this interaction, a young lady came to the window who was quite rude. She didn’t say a word; instead, she pushed the manager aside and handed me my food in a way that suggested I should just take my drinks and leave. The manager overlooked this behavior, but I certainly didn’t. Customer service relies heavily on the attitude and demeanor of the staff, and that’s where I felt they fell short. Despite the poor service from that employee, the manager's professionalism is what earned this location a five-star rating from me. Keep it up, Manager! Your hard work does not go unnoticed, even if some of your team members need to improve their customer service skills.

The restaurant was very clean, and the food was hot and fresh. The air conditioning was refreshingly cool on a scorching summer day. The staff were friendly and attentive. I would definitely come back here!
