A real gem to find in Daylesford, lovely relaxed atmosphere. The food is amazing we had the banquet for 2 and I must say, other japanese restaurants in melbourne gotta lift their game

I visited the restaurant for lunch and was impressed by its beautiful décor and lovely atmosphere. The staff were friendly and attentive, making the dining experience even better. The food was exceptional and was served at just the right pace. We asked for recommendations on which sake to pair with our dishes, and the suggestions were spot on. They also have a good selection of Japanese beers. While it is on the pricier side, I have no complaints!

Spent dinner on NYE at Sakana. It was absolutely beautiful and soooo tasty. Each dish was unique and came out quite fast. It was a set menu for the day instead of the regular a la carte menu. The NYE set menu included 5 courses $160 pp. <br/ courses:<br/ Cured salmon <br/ Morton bay bug <br/ Pork belly <br/ wagyu steak <br/ And a white chocolate parfait<br/ of course there were fancier names and descriptions but that’s what I could remember. <br/ I was a bit worried but it was absolutely divine and I loved every course! The only pictures I remembered to take before digging in!
