The Royal Victoria Bull - Dartford

Dined here a few weeks back. Car crash of a meal. Manager apologised, refunded the whole bill. He said he was determined to improve the food and experience. We braved it and tried again. Wish we hadn’t. The roast dinners were stone cold. Every part of the dish the meat, the veg, the gravy all stone cold. We told the barman/waiter, he said he’d let the “chef” know. As we were leaving, the table next to us sent their roasts back because they were stone cold. We’ve given this place so many chances over the years but we’re done, never again. Avoid, avoid, avoid.

We had two mesls there a few days ago, the stesknpie was delicious we both enjoyed the meal. I ha one of the best bakewell rart deserts I have ever eaten. We visit quite frequently so always enjoy our meals there. Prices are quite hood and the staff are really helpful and friendly.

My wife and I were initially concerned after reading some of the reviews, but after staying one night at this restaurant as a stopover from our home in Norwich to an event in Croydon, we can confidently say that the negative reviews were completely unfounded. We enjoyed a fabulous breakfast and a cozy, quiet night's stay. I made sure to let the waitress know how pleased we were before heading out from our event in South Croydon. We will definitely be booking again for next year's event. This place is great.

The restaurant has declined in quality. The pizza was cold and inedible. There were limited vegetarian options that were unavailable, and we were only informed of this 20 minutes after paying. The staff were not helpful in rectifying the situation, one even seemed annoyed by our presence. The bar area was messy, with overflowing bins and bottles on the floor. It's alright if you just want a quiet drink, but don't bother with the food.

I came here for a quick drink before a show, and despite the place being very quiet, it took the staff a long time to get around to serving us, and slowly, with disinterested mumbles and eyes to the floor. It really helped rob the place of any atmosphere. At least the prices were reasonable.
