The Green Tandoori - Croydon

I recently enjoyed a fantastic takeout meal from The Green. The crispy onion bhajis were delicious, the 1/4 tandoori chicken was juicy and flavorful, and the pilau rice and sag aloo were both satisfying. I am completely stuffed now after eating so much!

Food was some of the best we have tasted. Excellent vegan food. Decent sized portions. Will definately be ordering again. Order was delivered a bit quicker than advertised.

We have been ordering from here for a while as the local Indian takeaways in Addiscombe have not been great, the food here is amazing and authentic, the potions are very generous, delivery is speedy and friendly. Please give them a go!

The restaurant often forgets items in delivery orders and takes a long time to deliver. After multiple instances of missing items, we have decided to never order from them again.

Ordered online as recommended on their takeaway menu. The incentive was a £3 discount. When it came to payment a 40p service charge popped up but the £3 discount didn 't. I phoned them and was told that because they could no longer make a surcharge on card payments they had renamed it a service charge. I told them that under English law, services charges are discretionary and, as it was a takeaway, where was the service? As for the discount; apparently I was supposed to enter a code but I pointed out to them that there was no code given on the menu. He didn 't deny it and told me if, next time, I pay in cash he will take off the £3. It 's a rip-off! Now the food: The tandoori chicken was as dry as tissue paper, the garlic nan (where was the garlic? was stone cold and the tarka dhal was an overcooked mush. Most of it went in the bin.
