Tulio's Casita - Courtenay

Best thing that ever happened to this location was the day this dump shut down. Went there once as a walk in to be told that they didn't have any open tables available... the place was empty. Went with friends for a birthday celebration and I ended up sick later that night from some terrible king crab. The Bisque is there now and a fantastic replacement to this.

This was a great place for dinner but is now CLOSED. Bisque restaurant is now in this space and there food is excellent.

This restaurant is a woeful letdown. The only positive I can write about is the presentation. The waitstaff is friendly to a fault, often valuing interaction with the regulars over actually getting the food out. The schnitzel is acceptable but bland. Very bland. The prices are exorbitant for dishes that wind up underperforming dramatically and lack noteworthy impact. I'm sure if you wanted fine cuisine in Courtenay or Comox there are better options (including one literally right around the corner).

They need to hire some experienced wait staff. The food was great but luke warm and the service was painfully slow.

I don 't usually write reviews because I think it ruins other people 's business. But my experience here tonight is the first time and will be the last time I ever come here. The business ruined my night. It 's Valentine 's Day, I saw their open and close sign. I believe they 're usually closed on Tuesdays. But if your going to open for a special occasion and expect a busy night you should be ready for it. We arrived there at 6:20pm for our reservation at 6:30pm we got sat, and water came to us 10 mins after no one as greeted us at the table at this point. When someone finally came to take our drink order, I asked you running the show solo tonight? and surely enough she was. Anyways after 40 mins our order was finally placed for dinner. Salad and dinner roll with rock hard butter arrived an hour after we sat down. This was after 20 mins of us placing our dinner order. As we were done our salad, we asked for our bill from another girl that came in to give them a hand. Our server came back I think she 's the owner) she came and told us our food will be coming out right now. and that she 's sorry for the wait. Okay so we gave them another chance and waited some more, by the time we got our appetizer it was 8:00pm. We were tired of waiting and who know how long our dinner is going to be. We finished our appetizer and asked for our main course to be packed up because we 're tired of waiting. so we left there at 8:30 with dinner packed up and to TOP THAT we didn 't get it in to go boxes! They Tin Foiled the plates they had and handed it to us like that! and said We have alot of these plates so please take them with you! As we were driving home, sauce leaked on to my hand and to my Jeans. on my car seat! Opened the tin foil when we got home for the food... my pasta dish I order is dry and the lobster flake they use for the dish imitation lobster meat.
