Seh-Mi Japanese Restaurant - Courtenay

I've never been to a restaurant whose sushi and non-sushi dishes were as great as Seh-Mi's. The prices are very low, especially for a sushi restaurant. The sushi are delicious, very fresh and tasty. My mum doesn't like sushi, so she ordered a dish with chicken, rice and vegetables that was great too. I tasted it too and we both loved it. The service is really good, the waitress is very nice and helpful. Would definitely go back and I highly recommend that place.

We walked to this restaurant from our nearby hotel so it was very convenient. The menu is authentically Japanese, although most of the staff seemed to be Korean. Our dinners were very good and we enjoyed the food. The waitress struggled a bit with the Japanese language in the menu, but was pretty good natured about it. The main food came fairly quickly, but getting chopsticks and water took longer. Overall, it was a good meal and we’d go back again if we’re ever in Courtenay again.

Sushi was good but not as good as last visit in 2016 Spicy scallop rolls could have had more of a kick.
