The Captain Whidbey Inn - Coupeville

While I found the prices to be quite high, my husband thoroughly enjoyed his burger. However, the hatchery chicken felt like regular barbecue chicken but came with a hefty price tag. It was also excessively sweet, making it difficult for me to finish. I wish they had served the sauce on the side instead, allowing customers to decide how much sweetness they wanted. This restaurant has it all! From its charming rustic location to the breathtaking views and exquisite food. On a beautiful summer day, we opted to sit outside and truly enjoyed the stunning scenery. Although the outdoor seating area is limited, it's wonderfully picturesque. The indoor seating is also lovely, featuring large windows that offer great views. The bar area has a unique vibe that feels reminiscent of a fishing lodge. Every dish we tried was incredibly fresh and delicious; the fish and chips were exceptional, as was the clam chowder. I highly recommend this place!

Lovely setting and fabulous food! I had the vegan risotto (it can come with charred octopus), which was full of local mushrooms--so delicious. It would be nice to stay at the inn, but for now a wonderful dinner will have to do.
