Currents Bistro - Coupeville

Omg. First time here tonight and it did NOT disappoint. The mussels and clam chowder are excellent. I had the blackened rock fish and my husband who doesn't usually like seafood got the ciopinno and ate it all! Very clean and excellent waitress. We will be going back and bringing our visitors!

This is my first time and last time been here. All the dishes that we ordered were extremely salty. The mussels were fresh but the salmon was stale and super salty. Talked to the waitress and she told us that it was because of the garlic. This is the customer feedback and she should pass this message to the chef. We all want to eat healthy and live longer. Aren't we?

Came for the mussels. Got the classic mussels with the cream sauce and pretty much drank the broth afterwards. Being in Penn Cove, you expect high quality, clean tasting mussels and that's exactly what you get. Also had the clam chowder (earthy and rich), crab dip (standard but tasty) and the calamari Caesar salad style. I enjoyed the last bit, not sure if I'd order it again but I'm glad I experienced it.

This place is amazing! Came here for my Birthday weekend, and spend the night at Coupeville hotel. This place due to Covid 19, you do have to make reservation and this place get pack!!! It was my first time trying out this place too. Even with reservation, we still have to wait a bit to get our table. It is worth it though. The manager or the owner was very friendly there. #respect! Not to mention, our service was great as well. Attentive and check in on us often. We ordered calamari as or appetizer, it was decent. The highlight was my entrée. I got their Halibut pasta with mussel. It was delicious. Fit my tastebud right. Huge portion too, but I finished it. Lastly, for dessert I got their Tiramisu. It was decent as well. Overall, this place is great. I will come back next time when I stop by Coupeville!

Wow! I was blown away by the food and service. We came here for lunch with a toddler and they provided a high chair, plastic water cup, crayons and an activity paper. They even had a cute kids menu! We decided to get him the steak and clam chowder. For us adults we had a very booshie lunch with mussels, white wine, complimentary bread and elaborating sandwiches. We had 5 different meals between us and each one was delicious. We were so impressed! I would definitely come here again next time I'm in Coupeville and try the outside patio next time.
