La Table Du Château - Cottage

Nice fine dining experiment! The staff was friendly and accommodating. Nice view of the chateau at night!

My partner ordered the lamb shank and I ordered the tuna. I was, however, disappointed with the so-called vegetables that were served with my tuna. There was barely enough to enjoy and the mauve-coloured mash under the tuna was not enjoyable. Nobody explained this mash to me. At the end of my meal I asked Sheila our waitress and I still don 't understand what it was. I feel that a better veg selection could have been paired with this dish. The roasted vegetables served with the lamb shank looked good

The food we had was just okay, not the best Mauritian food, however you pay for the view over the château which is fair.
