Great selection of deli and bakery items and a great selection of various condiments, plus basic grocery items.Lots of inexpensive decorating items, kids toys, kitchenware, art supplies, souvenirs and more.

A jewel in the heart of Vancouver Island. The market is outstanding with all sorts of eclectic products as well as a full produce market that is largely locally grown. The goat on the roof are neat. But the little bunnies huddled near the doughnut stand are profoundly entertaining.

In the town of Coombs not far from our base in Parksville is the Old Country Market. It is better known as the Goats on the Roof store. That is why we came and the first thing we searched upon arrival.I did not expect the volume of cars and people streaming into this small town. Parking on a weekday is difficult. The store has inventory that I have not seen before. I bought a wooden medieval axe and knight's shield for my grandson.The indoor resto is packed. I ate part of a ham and cheese sandwich with clam chowder. As a side, I went to the deli and bought 2 pieces of smoked salmon.After lunch we went next door for ice cream. A good afternoon was had by all.

Wohl als Touristenattraktion zu sehen, Ziegen grasen auf dem Dach, die Kinder fanden es klasse. Der Laden schön anzusehen mit jedermenge "Spezialitäten " aus aller Herren Länder. Macht spaß mal da durchzustöbern. Kann auch Wurst und frisches Brot kaufen. Im Restaurant einfache Küche, burger etc. aber völlig ok, auch die Preise. Wenn man in der Nähe ist, ein kurzen Stopp lohnt.

Cute place to stop with the goats on the roof! Great bakery, great coffee, great shopping and great ice cream! Would recommend you stop even if only to look!
