Bidrage med feedbackThere are so many interesting things to see in this shop. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable about the items they sell. They offer a variety of local artisan crafts and fair trade options. The prices are on the higher side, but it's understandable for a niche store like this. I have noticed that the staff turnover is frequent, but I'm not sure why. I appreciate the organization, but I wish it wasn't so gender-specific. The children's toys in the back are adorable, especially the whimsical teething toys. However, there is a teething toy that resembles a fawn, which seems strange for a vegan to give to a baby. Overall, the shop has a lot of charm but some aspects could be improved.
I have been on the lookout for a pair of vegan shoes that are either manufactured in the USA or are fair-trade for about a year now. I have tried ordering some online, but I have not had much luck as they were not comfortable and I ended up returning them. I was thrilled to read reviews on Happy Cow that this store carries vegan shoes and supposedly everything in the store is fair-trade. I was unsure about this claim, but my husband and I decided to visit the store. Unfortunately, the few pairs of shoes that I liked were made in China and did not have fair-trade certifications visible on them. Since shoes were the only items I was interested in, I cannot comment much on the rest of the store. However, the drive from Washington D.C. was not a total waste as we were able to dine at Great Sage next door.
Eco friendly, conscious and artsy. the people working here have the best energy. they are helpful, friendly and informative. they can find crystals, kitchen utensils, vegan cookbooks, baby clothes, large men's clothing, recycled material jewelry, notebooks, tea towels, scarves, wallets and even some things for young. I loved my last purchases of them: a cute porcelain house tag with a magician of ounce zitat and an eye bag for loose change.
I love to load one that promotes health and natural products.
So many little things to look at in this shop. The staff is pleasant and friendly, sometimes very knowledge of the items they are selling. They do sell a lot of local artisans crafts and have quite a few fair trade options. Everything comes with a pretty steep price tag, but Im sure its a lot to keep a pretty niche store like that in business. I have noticed the staff changes quite frequently though Im not sure why that is. I appreciate the organization, but I wish they wouldnt make it so gender specific. The childrens toys in the back are lovely. The teething toys for babies are whimsical and fun, though there is a teething toy that is made to like the a fawn which seems odd for a vegan to give a baby. Here chew on this baby deer Why???!!!
