Bella Italia Cranbourn Street

Service was great and Niki was very attentive and very warm to talk to! Great experience here! My friends and I had a great time.

Very small and Cramped restaurant with tables very close together so little privacy. Tried to book a table pre shoe but assured would not be needed. Git there and no tables so had to wait and given a very cramped table by the window with a very cold draught through the front folding door. Didn't stay long as was freezing and charged 12.5% service charge on top direct the privilege !! Shoukx have gone elsewhere..

Premises toilets shabby. The meal was cold. I asked them to heat, but was given another dish, which was also cold.

The food was good. The service was adequate but the places was the pits. Scruffy, peeling decor. Cramped, tatty furniture. Grim loos. We have eaten in Bella Italia from Inverness to Cheltenham and a dozen others in between but on the edge of Leicester Square this should be a flagship restaurant; it is appalling. To be fair, upstairs was a tad better but the staff don’t want to go upstairs so they cram as many as possible downstairs that you are touching elbows with customers the other side of the aisle and having to put stuff on the (not very clean) floor to have room for the food on the tiny table. This was really well below par for a chain we often use as the ‘safe option’.

We usually get better from Bella Italia, so we’re disappointed when this Restaurant which was well below standard. Firstly the decor of the place downstairs was tired, and needed redone. The fact that they are scraping plates right next to you and throwing bottles in a bin is very irritating. Yes the place is small, but that needs rethought. Some of the food was tasteless, and not of their usual standard. The staff were pleasant and the service was reasonably efficient. i’ll not be back.
