Broadcloth - Charlottesville

We are very lucky to have dined here a few times and each time has somehow been more spectacular than the last. The BEST food, presentation, and atmosphere. Cam has been a delightful server each time and the whole team is so thoughtful and attentive! We can't wait to come back!

A very special meal. We went with the chefs tasting menu and it was a delicious journey. Scallops were carmelized to perfection, sweetness playing off the tang of smoky buttery fresh tomato. A salad of fresh vegetables, each bite a summer treat, was topped with cocoa crumble to set it off. Duck drumsticks to start were crunchy with soy miso glaze on the outside, fall off the bone tender inside. Trout, roasted to perfection on a smoky sauce. Juicy slices of confit pork on perfectly cooked chanterelles. Oh, to eat here again.I had the wine pairing. I’ve had a bunch of wine pairing which were ho hum. The wine pairing at Broadcloth was excellent. There were some wines where I tasted them before the food and I wouldn’t have drunk them alone. With the food they were perfect, adding another dimension of flavors.The service was superb. Cameron was kind and made sure everything was just right. When one member of our party had a problem, the staff handled it with aplomb and grace.The ambience is thoughtful. Gentle lighting. Tables really well spaced. A noise level that makes dining feel intimate, but not lonely.

Great service from Cameron. Very interesting dishes. We particularly liked the scallops with smoked eggplant and tomato butter.

While I have never had the pleasure of having dinner at Broadcloth, I have been to the bar for cocktails and eats quite a few times. The atmosphere at Broadcloth is quite inviting, cozy, and comfortable. The leather and wood accents provide warmth.The staff at Broadcloth are second to none. They are incredibly welcoming, friendly, and knowledgable. Tori behind the bar will mix a cocktail that you 're sure to fall in love with. Not to mention the thoughtfulness that she puts into the cocktails placed on the rotating cocktail menu. She brings the highest level of craft to craft cocktail . Michael is always a joy to talk to while he helps behind the bar and serves the delicious bites to the bar.And then there is the food. The bar eats menu is unlike any other. Small bites without sacrificing the level of detail and deliciousness one would experience at a full tasting dinner.

One of the best meals of my life. The food was seasoned perfectly and the flavors were creative and incredibly delicious. We will be back!
