Bidrage med feedbackThis restaurant is great. I love Thai food, especially papaya salad and fried tofu and have been to many of the areas Thai restaurants-natta, paya, tara, neisha, basil, busara, and others. Sila beats them all-except natta does have a great fried tofu with peanut dish that I havent found as good anywhere else. Sila has the freshest vegetables, amazing veggie garden rolls, huge servings, and their fried tofu is always crunchy never soggy. The pad Thai I have not tried but a friend said it was not greasy and tasted perfect. If you want the best Thai food-try Sila-and the veggie GARDEN rolls (or chicken) you will not be disappointed.
I am a huge fan of Thai Dim Sum, which is something everyone should try before they die. Dim Sum is a traditionally Chinese cuisine invention (from the Canton Province and Hong Kong) which can sort of be compared to tapas. Sila Thai is one of the few places in the Northern Virginia area that carries this unique offering. There are quite a few items on the menu, all of which are different in their own right and I liked everything I ate. I would say that if you like sweet and fried, please get the fried taro puffs. If you're feeling adventurous, get the shrimp toast. It's literally what it sounds like, and very unlike the Chinese Shrimp Toast that you've probably gotten at normal Dim Sum. Either way, try new things and you're in for a treat here.
