Affogato - Central Dr, Hornchurch

I wanted to try an affogato so was up for a trip here when I was in the area. It was 30 mins to closing and the staff member informed us that the kitchen was already closed. She let us in reluctantly after we told her that we only wanted coffee. The affogato presentation can do better as it was served on a small plate. The ice cream was good and the combination of espresso with it was as good as they say. What left a bitter taste in the mouth (and my head) was the total disregard of the staff towards us when it was approaching closing time. They all but shoved us out so they can lock up the place before the closing time. As a business, they should attend to the customers who are paying for the services. People will come back only if they feel welcomed in the first place. Not me in this instance.

Slightly disappointed food was luke warm and quite dry and tough. Hubby wasn't happy but I just ate it. We didn't stay for coffee as planned. Just needs a little attention to detail when it comes to cleanliness.

I went few days ago to Affogato. It was a pleasure to drink my latte which is always good as I want it. The pancake was so delicious as well. The staff was busy and working hard. Thank you for your effort to make it so good.

Wonderful place in busy area. Fast attentive service, and a busy spot for locals, always a good sign, I would visit again.
