Great staff, excellent service . Lovely relaxing environment. Great entertainment on offer. Very warm and welcoming

My partner and I visited the restaurant on Sunday 16/01/2022 around 4pm. We waited by the bar while the barman was serving someone else. We overheard a lot of swearing without the barman addressing it. When the barman returned, he complained to other customers and continued to swear. He did not acknowledge us during our wait, so after 5 minutes, we decided to leave. Even as we left, the barman did not say anything. Overall, we had a negative experience and would not recommend this restaurant. The staff members could benefit from additional training in customer service and should be more welcoming to guests. The owners of the restaurant should consider removing the unprofessional barman as soon as possible.

Its clean at last. Looks good. Just waiting to try the Sunday lunchtime snacks next. Unfortunately they haven't refurbished the landlord or his head barman!

I love this pub because it offers a great selection of real ales and has a quiet atmosphere without any distractions like loud music or TVs. However, I have recently noticed that the pub is starting to look dirty and unkempt, with cobwebs in the same spot for weeks. During a recent visit between Christmas and New Year's, I brought some relatives with me and was disappointed to find that the quality of the pub had declined. A sign on the door stated that they were not accepting bank cards due to a faulty machine, which was fine for us as we had cash, but then we were informed that there were no draught lagers or bottled beers available. The pub was messy, with rubbish scattered around and no heating, making it quite chilly. To top it off, some of our glasses were dirty. This level of cleanliness is not acceptable, and I hope that the management can address these issues before the pub's reputation suffers.

Great pub with a fantastic selection of beers, delicious pork scratchings, and friendly staff. It's refreshing to find a pub like this without any gimmicks or unnecessary decorations. More places like this one should exist!
