Bidrage med feedbackWe stopped here because we usually love sushi and hibachi and the online ratings said they were good.... not so much. It started by being told it would take about 40 minutes to get our food (not complaining about this because we said that would be fine, reviews said this was a great place). She then advised of the LIST of things that were out of on the menu... nothing we wouldtypically order, but still, there was a lot. I should also mention... no air at all... only fans blowing and looked a littledirty. We then waited quite some time for our food order to be taken... this was because there was only 1 waitress... 5 tableswere taken, one of which had at least 10 people at it. We ordered sushi and the ribeye. After about 20 minutes or so, we weretold something about the sushi and didn?t get it. When the entree arrived, the meat was basically nothing but fat. Definitelywon?t be back
We ordered take away and brought back to hotel. Egg drop soup, egg fu Yung and cream cheese won tons were delicious. Egg rolls were really spring rolls and a bit smalL. The Moo goo gai pan was a bit bland, but was much tastier with the egg foo youngsauce. Very good quality from a tiny restaurant in small town Tennessee. I would definitely recommend if you are staying at theHampton Inn or Holiday Inn.
Delicious!!! And the owners are so kind! Stopped here last year on our way back from Gatlinburg, and we are stopping again this year, too! Afforable Japanese food that is way better than expected. Great service, made us feel very welcome, taken care of,and appreciated. Never judge the food by the location or size of the building, because this place tastes great, and the ownersare amazing people. In the end, that's all that matters.
Pretty sure I am embarrassed that I took food pics but this place deserves them to be posted. I spent a couple of weeks in Japan with a lovely Japanese family that the father was a chef in Tokyo. I have missed his cooking ever since my visit. The lovelycouple that runs Takumi have brought that wonderful cooking to Tennessee. Don?t let the exterior keep you away. If you are inthe area, go! Authentic Japanese cooking (no habachi chain food unless you are just bent on ordering it! . Instead, opt for therice bowls that feature tempura (the real kind and wonderful muzo soup. Fab asset to the Caryville community!
Yelled at by the lady because I was having a hard time understanding her. Didn't make the sushi I ordered, so when I got there it would have to be made (keep in mind I am on work lunch when this happens), and the price was outrageous for the servingoffered. Drive 3 miles to ninja and you will get better food at a better price. Ordered a crab roll today (10-14) and foundtwo large pieces of plastic in the sushi. Jesus, I won't be fooled again because they are close to my work.
